Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching

You’ve got questions. I’ve got grounded, honest answers.

Whether you’re brand new to coaching or just curious if this is the right space for you, here are a few of the most common things people ask before we begin.

Great question — and an important one. Coaching is future-focused, action-oriented, and designed to help you move forward from where you are right now. It’s not about diagnosing or treating mental health conditions (that’s where therapy comes in). In coaching, we focus on things like nervous system regulation, burnout recovery, mindset shifts, and life design — all with the assumption that you’re functioning but feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Not at all. Some clients come in with a clear intention — others just know something isn’t working. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, that’s enough. We’ll clarify the path together.

Coaching is an investment in clarity, regulation, and reclaiming your capacity. If you’re ready to commit to change and create a life that supports you, it’s absolutely worth it. The real question is: what’s the cost of staying stuck?

Not through The Invara Method. While I’m a licensed therapist (LCSW), this space is strictly coaching. If therapy feels more appropriate for your needs, I’ll gladly refer you to trusted providers.

Yes, as long as the two don’t conflict. I always recommend letting your therapist know. Coaching and therapy can complement each other beautifully when held in clear containers.

You might be a good fit if:

  • You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in burnout

  • You’ve “done the work” but still feel off

  • You want structure, calm, and forward momentum
Still unsure? Book a free consult and we’ll figure it out — no pressure.

Sessions are personalized. We typically start with a nervous system check-in or grounding, then focus on what’s most present — whether that’s emotional processing, strategy, or shifting beliefs. You’ll leave feeling clearer, calmer, and more connected to your next step.

If you want them, yes! Many clients find value in reflection prompts, nervous system practices, rituals, or intention-setting between sessions. I’ll offer tools tailored to your goals — and you always have agency in what you take on.

Warm, honest, and strategic. I blend somatic practices, cognitive tools, and intuitive insight — always paced with your nervous system in mind.

It depends on your goals. Some people feel solid after one Reset Session. Others move through deeper transformation over 3–6 months. This isn’t about quick fixes — it’s about sustainable shifts.

Yes. Reclaim & Rise includes monthly payment options, and I offer flexibility for Reset Sessions. I occasionally offer sliding scale sessions when available — just reach out.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations are considered used sessions unless it’s an emergency — life happens, and I do my best to be fair and flexible.

100%. Many of my clients have done (or are still in) therapy and are now ready for something more practical, body-based, and future-focused. Coaching builds on what you already know — and helps you live it. Just remember, the amount of effort you put into change is what you will get out of it.

Nope. You don’t need to hit rock bottom to benefit from coaching. If something inside is saying “this isn’t working anymore,” that’s enough.

That’s completely welcome. While this isn’t therapy, emotions are part of the process — especially when you’re slowing down and getting real with yourself. We’ll hold space for whatever comes up and tend to it with care.

Yes — I treat everything you share with the utmost care and respect. While coaching isn’t legally bound by therapist confidentiality laws, I voluntarily follow the ICF Code of Ethics, which includes strict standards around privacy, professionalism, and trust.
Nothing you share will be discussed outside of our sessions unless required by law (e.g. risk of harm). This is a safe, judgment-free space for your process.
